GARDAI broke up a huge gathering of up to 800 “boy racers” who organised a meet-up on social media.
The event took place at Eastgate, Little Island in Co Cork and was described by cops as being in contravention of the public health regulations and guidelines that are currently in place .

Upon arrival at the scene, Gardai say they observed more than 250 vehicles and 700 to 800 persons gathered.
A Garda spokesperson said in a statement: There was very little evidence of social distancing, wearing of face coverings or general compliance with public health guidelines.
