Joyce s judgement flawed over Coalition relationship28/01/2021|6min
Veterans’ Affairs Minister Darren Chester says he doesn’t agree with fellow Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce that the Coalition is a “marriage of convenience”.
Mr Joyce argued in The Australian on Wednesday that the Nationals aren’t getting the responsibility they deserve within cabinet and the parliament.
“I think his judgement there is flawed,” Mr Chester told Sky News.
“What we’ve seen in this period of the Morrison/McCormack government is great unity and great stability. There’s an inconsistency in the argument that he’s put in. Because when Barnaby was leader, we didn’t have the portfolios he’s nominated there either.
