Las Cruces man accused of robbing woman then shooting at her as she followed him Bethany Freudenthal, Las Cruces Sun-News © Doña Ana County Detention Center Bryce Watters LAS CRUCES – A Las Cruces man charged with three felonies after allegedly shooting at a woman during a drug deal will remain incarcerated until his trial.  Bryce Watters, 22, is charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of armed robbery and one count of shooting at or from a motor vehicle.  Authorities allege that on Jan. 21, Watters met up with a woman at a park near the intersection of Solarridge Road and Columbia Avenue, so the woman could purchase $200 worth of marijuana from him.

SANTA TERESA - Residents seeking to establish the unincorporated community of Santa Teresa as a city cleared a legal hurdle in December, but there is still a ways to go before a vote to establish themselves as a new municipality. The community is located in the southern part of Doña Ana County and is home to residential neighborhoods, three public schools governed by the Gadsden Independent School District, industrial facilities and the Santa Teresa Port of Entry. Per 2019 U.S. Census data, its population is approximately 5,500.
