A Dawson County woman was arrested Monday and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, according to Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard.
Jarrad said 51-year-old Stacey Lynn Evans of Dawsonville was arrested during the execution of a search warrant by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI’s West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office (WMRDEO).
During the execution of the search warrant, authorities seized 165 grams of methamphetamine which was reportedly in Evans’ possession, according to Jarrard.
Jarrad said Evans was transported to the Dawson County jail and charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
The arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation that began in Lumpkin County.

North Georgia authorities say that a 51-year-old Dawson County woman was arrested on Monday morning after 165 grams of methamphetamine were found during a search of a Dawson County residence.
In a Facebook post on Monday afternoon, the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office reported that Stacey Lynn Evans was taken into custody on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, for charges of trafficking methamphetamine, following a joint investigation by the Lumpkin and Dawson County Sheriff’s Offices, and the GBI’s West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

The post said that law enforcement officers from the three agencies conducted a search at a Dawsonville residence on Monday and allegedly found Evans to be in possession of 165 grams of methamphetamine.
