BALTIMORE Md. – The Maryland Office of the Attorney General is asking people to be wary of unlicensed covid-19 testing sites popping up in the state.
Attorney General Brian Frosh says, people have been setting up unauthorized free COVID-19 testing sites at random locations in Baltimore City. He says those operating the sites are not following CDC guidelines when it comes to collecting, handling and testing.
The attorney general also states, these sites have also been taking personal information including social security numbers, drivers license information and more.
Marylanders looking to get a covid-19 test should only go to authorized sites in the state.
