Veteran nonprofit journalism executive Kate Myers has been named interim chief operating officer of the Center for Public Integrity.
Myers, who served most recently as executive director of revenue and operations of First Look Media Works, the parent organization of The Intercept, will lead Public Integrity’s business operations while the nonprofit investigative news organization completes its ongoing search for a new chief executive officer.

At First Look, Myers led revenue strategy and business operations for The Intercept, Field of Vision and the Press Freedom Defense Fund. Myers spent a number of years at National Public Radio in roles that included digital product work, business development, audience development and corporate strategy. She also served as vice president for business development at Inside Higher Ed. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and has an MBA from the Darden School
