The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) has just announced the release of the Journal of Dredging Volume 19 - Issue 2, which provides the dissemination of technical and project information on dredging engineering topics.

The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) will hold its annual Dredging Summit June 15-17, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily. This year, the event will be held virtually via Zoom conference.
The summit will feature a wide range of experts from throughout the dredging world presenting on topics like the beneficial use of dredged material, sediment sampling and remediation, and innovative approaches to dredging. A pair of sessions will focus on dredging needs in Texas, with one focused on regional sediment management and the other on sediment needs in coastal areas. There will also be panel discussions focused on both environmental issues and safety, with a session looking at dredging crew operations and lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Western Dredging Association (WEDA) has just announced that registration is now open for WEDA’s Virtual Dredging Summit ’21.
The 2021 Virtual Dredging Summit is a technical meeting organized by WEDA to promote the exchange of knowledge in fields related to dredging, navigation, marine engineering, and construction.
The summit will consist of a series of technical and award presentations on June 15, 16, and 17th from 1 to 5 EST.
The presentations featured at this virtual summit are technical papers to be shared for the advancement of the science and profession of dredging, navigation and marine engineering.

Western Dredging Association (WEDA) has announced its next webinar titled “A New PIANC Guideline for Managing Environmental Risks of Navigation Infrastructure Projects” will take place on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 1 PM EST.
This joint webinar between PIANC, ERDC, and WEDA will focus on PIANC’s Environmental Commission’s development of a standard of practice to support ports and other public and commercial navigation interests in managing environmental risks associated with navigation infrastructure projects.
Managing environmental risks from navigation infrastructure involves economic and environmental costs, and is complicated by the diverse range of policies, perspectives, risk attitudes, and personal values that influence decision-making.
