Utah police said they got quite a surprise when they found a nine-year-old girl driving a car with her four-year-old sister in the passenger seat early on Wednesday morning.
The sisters told officers they were heading to California because they wanted to swim in the ocean .
They drove on two major roads, hit another car and then crashed head-on into a lorry, police said on Twitter.
The sisters were both wearing their seatbelts and were not hurt.

Early Wednesday morning, the Utah Department of Transportation reported a crash at 3200 W. at South Frontage Road in West Valley City.
Lt. Bill Merritt with the West Valley City Police Department told 2News a 9-year-old driver, traveling with her 4-year-old sister, sideswiped another vehicle on the on-ramp.
A semi-truck driver witnessed the sideswipe and thought the driver was under the influence.
The 9-year-old driver then swerved into the semi. The crash occurred at approximately 5:05 a.m.
Police said the children were planning on driving to California because they wanted to go on vacation.
Man found dead in parking lot of West Valley clinic; victim suffered gunshot wound, police say

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah â Investigators with the West Valley City Police Department are looking into the death of a man whose body was found in the parking lot of a local clinic Wednesday morning.
According to WVCPD, officers were dispatched to Granger Medical Clinic, at 2965 W 3500 S, at 5:14 a.m.
Police say the victim has been identified as 27-year-old Juan Jose Zamora Guerrero.
When they arrived, police found a car with its lights on and its doors open. Guerrero was in the back seat of the vehicle, and police said he had suffered a gunshot wound.
