Three weeks ago a little angel came into my life. Her name is Mila and she s a three year old Chinese Shar-pei / Pitbull mix. I m very much obsessed with her as evident by the hundreds of pictures of her in my camera roll.
I ve adopted, in fact, all of my pets growing up from different humane societies. I ve always been a supporter of choosing to adopt rather than shop but adopting Mila has fulfilled me in a way that I ve never felt before.
I was expecting at least a little bit of chaos when I brought Mila home because quite frankly, you never know what you re getting to get. But I ve never met such a sweet and well-behaved dog. She listens, she does amazing on the leash and is house-trained, and she loves snuggles.

CALDWELL, Idaho A rare hermaphrodite cat is up for adoption at West Valley Humane Society in Caldwell. Jessie was born with both male and female sex organs and genitalia, making it an incredibly rare cat, according to West Valley.
The year-and-a-half-old cat was brought into the shelter as a sick stray. During an examination and spay/neuter surgery it was determined that Jessie had both testes and ovaries and has the genitalia of both sexes.

West Valley Humane Society Asking For Donations To Support Rescued Cats
The Humane Society is an organization that is near and dear to my heart. All of my pets growing up came from the Humane Society and each one provided me with so much love and so many memories. I always try to give back any opportunity that I can and right now is the time to do so. The West Valley Humane Society in Canyon County is currently asking for donations to help support 22 cats who were recently rescued.
According to the West Valley Humane Society s Facebook page, a woman living out of state made a plea for help with concerns of an elderly parent living with 22 cats inside their home. Thankfully, relatives and community members were able to quickly come together and step into action to help these cats in need.
