The memorandum quoted various comments made by BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the run-up to the Wednesday incident in Nandigram. Calling it a “deep-rooted conspiracy”, it alleged that the “attack” was “premeditated”.

West Bengal Chief Minister in a video message urged her supporters to maintain peace and not do anything that would cause any problems to the public.The message comes a day after Mamata alleged that she had been attacked in Nandigram after filing her nomination.

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is admitted to a Kolkata hospital, after sustaining injuries in an alleged attack in Nandigram, on Thursday said that she will be out of the hospital soon.
Speaking from the hospital bed, Banerjee in a video said that she has sustained injuries on her neck, head and back. Banerjee explained how she sustained those injuries while greeting the people in Nandigram. The video was shared by her party Trinamool Congress (TMC).
