The FDA and the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices have given their stamps of approval for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. It’s another announcement in this pandemic that's hopefully brightening that light at the end of the tunnel. The single shot vaccine will add another to the two-dose vaccines already in circulation giving Washington state potentially 61,000 more shots.

Moderna vaccines ship out on Sunday
Washington state is expected to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines as early as Monday. Washington DOH officials say the state is set to receive nearly 184,000 doses.
SEATTLE - On Sunday, Gov. Jay Inslee announced the authorization for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine by the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup.
The Workgroup, comprised of vaccine experts from Washington, Oregon, California, and Nevada, reviews the safety and efficacy of both the Pfizer BioNTech and Moderna vaccines which have been federally authorized. I’m pleased that the Western States Workgroup gave their unanimous recommendation to the Moderna vaccine today and encourages immediate use of the vaccine in our states, Inslee said in a news release.
