Governor Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced that starting April 5, all Michiganders ages 16 and older will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine.
On March 22, Michiganders ages 16 and older with preexisting health conditions will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine.
The West Michigan Vaccine Clinic at DeVos Place is getting ready for the surge in signups.
Kent County Health Department Administrative Health Officer Adam London says vaccine allocation is increasing allocation drastically.
The clinic says they can vaccinate 20,000 people in a day when supplies will allow it.

News that all Michigan adults would be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine beginning next month came as a shock to many across the state Friday, March 12, including the local health departments.
