Lima man jailed following drug-related search warrants Gipson LIMA The Allen County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday released details about search warrants at three county residences that took place more than a week earlier. According to the press release, on Feb. 9 officers with the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, served narcotics-related search warrants at 4865 Dutch Hollow Road, 319 N. Jameson Ave. and 5179 Norfolk St. in Lima. During the search of the residences, a semi-automatic handgun, suspected marijuana, suspected cocaine, suspected heroin, suspected fentanyl, suspected fentanyl pressed pills, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and $5,787.00 U.S. currency were located and seized as evidence.

J Swygart | The Lima News LIMA A Lima man alleged to have possessed a controlled substance that contained fentanyl in a bulk amount appeared in Allen County Common Pleas Court on Thursday to waive his constitutional right to a speedy trial. Jamere Austin, 27, was indicted by a grand jury in December for possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a felony of the first degree that also includes specifications for the use of a gun during the commission of the crime and the forfeiture of guns and money in a drug case.
