The former Mayland Theater and the last of the shopping center of which it was a part still stood in this aerial of Mayland Shopping Center. Demolitions of the old movie theater and other obsolete structures are making way for new-breed suburban offerings such as a Sheetz, Raising Cane s and Starbucks.
If you haven t driven by the landmark Mayland Shopping Center in Mayfield Heights and the long-serving former theater that gave it its name lately, you ve missed it.
Instead, it s now a 12-acre patch of ground where Mayfield Heights real estate developer Larry Ottino and his broker, Tony Visconsi of Hanna Commercial, are ready to start harvesting efforts put in over the past several years.
