TOPSHOT - A young female minor walks over others as they lie inside a pod for females at the Donna Department of Homeland Security holding facility, the main detention center for unaccompanied children in the Rio Grande Valley run by the US Customs and Border Protection, (CBP), in Donna, Texas on March 30, 2021. - The minors are housed by the hundreds in eight pods that are about 3,200 square feet in size. Many of the pods had more than 500 children in them. The Biden administration on Tuesday for the first time allowed journalists inside its main detention facility at the border for migrant children, revealing a severely overcrowded tent structure where more than 4,000 kids and families were crammed into pods and the youngest kept in a large play pen with mats on the floor for sleeping. The United States was indeed developed and strengthened with the welcomed inclusion of immigrants worldwide. It is also true that this country has vast amounts of land that can easily accommodate millions of refugees fleeing murderous drug cartels and oppressive dictatorships. So why are millions of Americans against President Bidens’ “path for citizenship” to millions of illegal immigrants and his opening up the southern border?
Although the simplistic explanation offered by nearly every news outlet that the reason for the pushback against amnesty and open borders is racism and white supremacy, the truth is much more complex.
Immigrants became self-sufficient or sought assistance from relatives and friends, not the government

The claim: “The Biden administration has created an immigration crisis on our border. They refuse to call it a crisis, though apprehension numbers are worse than the ‘crisis’ Biden/Obama/Pelosi acknowledged in 2014!” Kayleigh McEnany, former press secretary to Donald Trump’s White House.
