Police charge six after investigations into graffiti attacks across Sydney rail network
Police have charged six people following an investigation into significant graffiti damage of trains, rail carriages and infrastructure across the Sydney rail network.
In May 2021, officers attached to the Police Transport and Public Safety Command’s Proactive Crime Team North/Central established Strike Force Wolstoneholme to investigate eight property damage offences between February and July this year across the Sydney rail network.
Following extensive investigations, officers executed five search warrants at homes at Marrickville, Ultimo, Petersham and Redfern yesterday (Thursday 29 July 2021).
Officers were assisted throughout the operation by the Dog and Mounted Unit, Redfern Region Enforcement Squad (RES) and Central Metropolitan Region Operations Support Group (OSG).

Police charge six over ‘Dial-a-Dealer’ drug supply operation – Redfern RES
Redfern Region Enforcement Squad (RES) investigators have charged six men and seized cocaine, MDMA and $100,000 cash, as part of ongoing investigations into an alleged criminal syndicate coordinating a “Dial-a-Dealer” drug supply network.
In September 2017, detectives from Redfern RES established Strike Force Northrop to investigate and target the ongoing supply of cocaine within the Central Metropolitan Region.
As part of ongoing investigations, officers received information relating to the supply of cocaine through a “Dial-a-Dealer” network, operating within the Sutherland Shire.
Following extensive inquiries, Strike Force Northrop investigators arrested a 26-year-old man on Ewos Parade, Caringbah, just before 3pm yesterday (Friday 16 July 2021).

• Possess prohibited drug
He was refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 26 February 2021).
A 27-year-old woman was arrested at Bossley Park and taken to Fairfield Police Station. She was charged with supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis, supply prohibited drug more than an indictable quantity, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, deal with proceeds of crime, and participate in a criminal group.
She was refused bail to appear in Fairfield Local Court today.
Investigations under Strike Force Riesling are continuing.

Homicide detectives charge woman over South Coogee murder

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a woman over the alleged murder of an elderly man in Sydney’s east last month.
About 11.20am on Sunday 20 December 2020, emergency services were called to a unit on Elphinstone Road, South Coogee, after concerns were raised for the welfare of a male occupant.
Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended and located the body of a man.
The man was formally identified as 77-year-old South Coogee resident, Peter McCarthy.
