(April 4, 2021 / Israel21c) Israeli researchers report that the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is as effective against B.1.1.7 variant of the virus, aka the U.K. variant, as it is against the original SARS-CoV-2 strain. The vaccine was found to be moderately less effective against the B.1.351 (South African) variant and the combined British-South African variants of the coronavirus.

People who’ve received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination against Covid-19 seem significantly less likely to “shed” or transmit virus particles that may be in their nose or throat.
That is the finding of a study pre-published on February 8 by Israeli scientists from Covid testing centers MyHeritage Lab and the Central Virology Laboratory at Sheba Medical Center.
