Deregulation exercise did not help Ghana – Kojo Poku
Energy Expert, Kojo Poku has expressed disappointment at the recent increase in fuel prices because the reasons for increasing fuel is not reasonable.
Speaking in an interview with Alfred Ocansey, Host of the Sunrise Morning Show on 3FM, he said the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), and the Bulk Oil Distributors ( BDCs) during the onset of COVID-19 said they made loses in the past and so in April, May, June petrol prices around the world was $164 per metric tonnes but the oil marketing companies insisted they made loses in the past and so they were using the period to recover their losses.

Bulk Distribution Companies proposal for alternative mooring facility reaches Cabinet - NPA
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Hassan Tampuli, has said a proposal by Bulk Oil Distributors for an alternative Conventional Buoy Mooring (CBM) facility has been sent to cabinet for possible approval.
He said the Attorney General, Madam Gloria Akuffo, has given her opinion on the issue and a decision will be taken in due course.
Mr. Tampuli’s comments come after a long wait by players in the downstream petroleum sector who have been pushing for an alternative mooring facility which is being spearheaded by Pexus Mooring Limited, an SPV set up by the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) for the development of a Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility. They have insisted that the alternative facility would be a useful and necessary back-up facility for the existing mooring facility which was built

The Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) has congratulated all key energy sector players who have won seats or retained their parliamentary seats in the 2020 general elections.
At least seven men and a woman thought to be influential in Ghana’s energy sector will be Members of Parliament when the new legislative assembly is sworn-in on January 7, 2021.
They include Energy Minister, Peter Amewu (Hohoe), Deputy Energy Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam (Karaga), and former Energy Minister, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah (Ellembele). The rest are Joseph Cudjoe (Effia), Minority Spokesman on Energy, John Jinapor (Yapei Kusawgu) and former Power Minister, Dr. Kwabena Donkor (Pru East).
