Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], May 28 (ANI): Highlighting the state's economy has been hit hard by the COVID-19, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Friday said that State's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is expected to grow at 13.1 percent in the next five years.

Seven states that are not ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party have demanded that the Centre should compensate tax losses under the provisions of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act at the earliest, reported

The states’ finance ministers also sought to increase the borrowing limit to 5% of the Gross State Domestic Product – the total value of goods and services produced within a state in a financial year. The demands were made during a meeting held by Rajasthan Urban Development and Housing Minister Shanti Dhariwal on Wednesday, ahead of the GST council meeting on May 28.

The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Andhra Pradesh has increased by 1.58% even during the COVID-19 crisis, which is higher than the national GDP of -3.8%, according to the advanced estimates for the year 2020-2021 in the Socio-Economic Survey brought out by the Planning Department.
The survey report was presented to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by Planning Secretary G.S.R.K. Vijaya Kumar.
