The Morongo Basin Community Health Center will provide drop-in testing at its two clinic locations on a first-come-first-served basis. No appointment is needed. Participants remain in their vehicle and self-administer the test with a medical swab. Tests will be offered Mondays and Wednesday at the Yucca Valley clinic on Highway 62, and on Tuesdays and Thursday at the Twentynine Palms Split Rock clinic. Testing is offered at both locations from 9 to noon. Participants will be asked for a photo ID and insurance information, but no one will be turned away for lack of insurance. The Morongo Basin Healthcare District will have two drive-through locations at their community health centers in Yucca Valley and in Twentynine Palms. Both distributions are on Saturday, December 19, beginning at 8 a.m. until supplies are gone.
Residents simply drive up, open the trunk and drive away. The food boxes weigh about 30 pounds and contain non-perishable food items. Distribution will be limited to one box per vehicle while supplies last.
