STEVENS POINT - After a year of event cancellations and virtual programs, calendars are once again filling up with things to do this summer in the Stevens Point area.
While the area’s traditional summertime events are once again popping up on event listings, some might not have the same pre-pandemic atmosphere. Event organizers will likely announce additional precautions to keep guests safe as event dates approach.
Levitt AMP is back
The Levitt AMP Music Series will return to the bandshell at Pfiffner Pioneer Park in Stevens Point every Thursday, from June 3 through Aug. 5.
While the opening acts have yet to be announced, guests can see Mike Mains & the Branches, Concrete Roots, LA Buckner, Ley Line, HHG, Gangstagrass, Roxi Copland, John Roberts y Pan Blanco, Angela Perley & the Howlin’ Moons, Long Shot & Lazerbeak and Shamarr Allen.
The Beat Goes On
The Marion Cultural Alliance, in partnership with the City of Ocala Municipal Government’s Ocala Cultural Arts, is excited to unveil the full lineup for the 2021 Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series. The series is sponsored in part by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, a national funder of creative placemaking that empowers communities to inject new life into underused public spaces. Through free, outdoor concerts, the Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series will present 10 free, family-friendly concerts to the public this summer.
The Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series will take place at Webb Field at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Complex located at 1510 NW Fourth St. Concerts will take place every Friday, April 16 through June 25 (excluding May 28), 7-9pm. The June 25 grand finale will feature an extended performance, 6-9pm, sponsored by the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Commission.
