Schneider has earlier helped authorities in locating the bodies of several missing people. In May, he helped cops in solving the case of a woman who disappeared in Germany. Her body was found hanging from a tree 36 hours after Schneider provided the coordinates of the spot. Besides, he also assisted in finding the location of the murdered Peter Neumair, 63, and Laura Perselli, 68, after they vanished from their home in Bolzano in Italy in January. Peterâs sister Michaela has also shown confidence over Schneiderâs claim as she said, âIn the case of Maddie, in my view it is worth a try â the police should take a look at the coordinates Michael has given.â
What happened to Madeleine McCann?
Madeleine went missing on the evening of May 3, 2007, Praia da Luz, Portugal.
She was just three-years-old and has never been found.
She disappeared from her bed that evening, while her brother and sister slept.
Her parents, doctors Kate and Gerry were at a local restaurant with their friends at the time of the disappearance.

Initially the Portuguese police believed Madeline had accidentally died and her parents had covered it up.
However, her parents used private investigators to try and find their missing daughter.
