Person hit by a train near Nottingham as East Midlands Railway services were suspended
The emergency services are on the scene
Services were suspended after a person was hit by a train in the East Midlands.
East Midlands Railway reported the incident shortly after 5am on Friday, May 7, and confirmed it happened between Nottingham and Derby.
The emergency services have been called and are currently on the scene.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Railway (EMR) said: We are sad to report that a person has been hit by a train. This has occurred between Derby and Nottingham and is disrupting our trains on the Matlock/ Derby/ Nottingham, Leicester/ Lincoln/ Grimsby and London- Nottingham routes.
