Teenager dies in York County car crash

An 18-year-old man died Friday in a two-vehicle car crash in Codorus Township, York County.
Authorities said when the teen was driving, he crossed the center line and struck another vehicle. It happened in the 8200 block of Blooming Grove Road.
He was taken to UMPC Pinnacle Hanover Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 9:33 a.m., according to the York County Coroner’s Office. It’s unclear whether he was wearing his seatbelt or not, officials said.
His name will be released once his family is notified. The coroner’s office noted his cause of death as multiple blunt trauma as the result of an accident.

Mitchell Brown, of New Freedom Borough, died in a two-vehicle car crash in Codorus Township Friday.
Authorities said Brown’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle. The crash happened in the 8200 block of Blooming Grove Road.
He was identified on Saturday.

Man pinned under vehicle after slipping on ice dies in York County

Authorities believe a man found pinned under his car left the vehicle in drive when he exited it, then slipped on ice before the vehicle rolled on top of his legs, pinning him under the tire.
It happened in Dover Township Friday. The man died around 1:25 p.m. from his injuries at WellSpan York Hospital.
The man’s name won’t be released until his family is notified, according to the York County Coroner’s Office. His cause of death is multiple blunt force trauma due to an accident.

YORK COUNTY, Pa.
Update (Dec. 20) The York County Coroner s Office has identified the person who died after a hit and run in Manchester Township Saturday morning.
Norman Mann III, 40, of the 100 block of North Newberry Street, York City was the victim.

A male pedestrian died early Saturday morning after a hit and run in the area of National Tire and Battery in Manchester Township, the York County Coroner s Office said.
At around 2:10 a.m., a vehicle struck the pedestrian while he crossed 30 east-bound and fled the scene, the release said.
His cause and manner of death are still being investigated.

The York County Coroner’s Office has identified the Hanover woman who was killed after she was struck by a vehicle while trying to crossing the street Saturday evening.
Alba Castro De Rep, 62, died from multiple blunt force trauma after she was struck by a vehicle on the 300 block of York Street in Hanover, according to the coroner’s office.
The coroner ruled the manner of death to be accidental.
Authorities say she was attempting to cross York Street when she stepped in front of an oncoming vehicle and was struck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
