Good morning, and welcome to The Howard Hughes Corporation s First Quarter 2021 Earnings Call.
With me today are David O Reilly, Chief Executive Officer, Jay Cross, President, Correne Loeffler, Chief Financial Officer, and Peter Riley, General Counsel.

Why are you running?
Buckingham: I am passionate about York City and its future. I am a long-time City resident invested in York. Our sons attended York City Schools grades K through 12. My vision is that York City is a place people want to live, to work, to play and to thrive.
Dennis: I am running because I have great passion, even from my youth, to serve and support our community. As a city resident, I have been very consistent as a clergy member, entrepreneur, activist, and world travel, serving our country internationally. Most of my life I have been serving and giving back to the York City community s needs and advocating and supporting the youth and families daily.

On Monday, May 3, 2021, the New York City Planning Commission (CPC) “referred” the Department of City Planning’s (DCP) proposed zoning text that would mandate a Special Permit for all new hotels in New York City, beginning the City’s public review process for approval of the proposed text.
This proposed Hotel Special Permit will be applicable to all new hotel developments, changes of use, conversions or enlargements to a hotel use in a building that did not previously contain a hotel use, or an enlargement of an existing hotel use that increases the existing floor area by 20% or more.
