Debra Katz, the attorney for one of the former aides accusing New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo
Cuomo said he would not resign during a Wednesday press conference while acknowledging that he acted in a way that made people feel uncomfortable.
But Katz said his remarks fell far short of what is needed given the allegations of her client, former Cuomo aide Charlotte Bennett, as well as another former Cuomo aide Lindsey Boylan and a third woman, Anna Ruch, who came forward with accusations about inappropriate touching by the governor.

“The Governor repeatedly said he never touched anyone inappropriately. Ms Ruch’s story made clear that’s not accurate,” Katz said in a statement.
The Democratic-controlled state Legislature repealed Gov Cuomo's emergency pandemic power on Friday night but approved a bill that allowed him to continue to modify existing restrictions.
‘I’m Not Going to Resign:’ Cuomo
Facing twin scandals and growing pressure to step down, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared Wednesday that he will not resign.
“I wasn’t elected by politicians. I was elected by the people of the state of New York. I’m not going to resign,” Cuomo told reporters during a press conference in Albany, in his first briefing since Feb. 22.
“Some politicians will always play politics, right. That’s the nature of the beast. I don’t think today is the day for politics,” he also said.
The Democrat is facing pressure from Republicans and within his own party to resign because three women accused him of sexual harassment and his administration acknowledged withholding COVID-19 death data from state legislators.
