Swati vows to transform Pakistan Railways
Emphasises need for ensuring punctual arrival, departure of trains
Railways Minister Muhammad Azam Khan Swati vowed on Wednesday to utilise all available resources to overcome losses in the Pakistan Railways and transform it into a profitable institution.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting at the Karachi divisional superintendent s office.
During the meeting, the divisional superintendent briefed Swati about his division s performance, with special focus on freight services and the revival of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR). The divisional superintendent also informed the minister about the ongoing court cases, particularly those pertaining to encroachments, in which the railways department was a party.
