Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, who fled to Russia after mass riots in February 2014, has once again called the Revolution of Dignity a coup d état.
Yanukovych s lawyer, Vitaliy Serdyuk, on Wednesday shared his client s statement on Facebook in response to a resolution passed by the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine s parliament, on February 17, 2021. Today, the Verkhovna Rada has passed a resolution on the so-called Revolution of Dignity, in reality – an armed coup d état in 2014. This controversial move is once again splitting Ukrainian society, dividing it into winners and losers, Yanukovych said in the statement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is still in the lead in the presidential rating. Among the candidates, Volodymyr Zelensky would get relatively more votes, since 16.2% of all respondents and 22.7% of those who have made up their mind would have supported him, according to findings of a poll conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
Another 13.1% and 18.3%, respectively, would vote for former President, leader of the European Solidarity Party Petro Poroshenko, while 10.3% and 14.5% would back leader of the Batkivshchyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko.

More than half of Ukrainian citizens say they are not ready to participate in any mass protest campaigns.
That is according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) on December 4-8, 2020.
In particular, the share of those who say they are not ready to take part in any such protests changed from 49% in 2019 to 57% in 2020.
Thus, the number of citizens who are reluctant to participate in rallies increased by 8 percentage points last year.

Another 10.6% and 15.7%, respectively, would vote for ex-President, leader of the European Solidarity Party Petro Poroshenko; 8% and 11.8% would back the leader of the Batkivshchyna Party, Yulia Tymoshenko. Some 7.4% and 11% would support co-chair of the Opposition Platform - For Life Party Yuriy Boyko. Another 6% and 8.9% would cast ballots for the leader of the Syla i Chest (Strength and Honor) Party Ihor Smeshko, 5% and 7.5% would root for Chairman of the Opposition Platform - For Life Party
