North Korea did not import any Russian goods, according to official trade data from Moscow

Official Russian trade with North Korea continued to sit at near-zero values in February, with just $124 worth of DPRK exports crossing into Russia in Feb. 2021, according to new data from Russia’s Federal Customs Service.
The data which does not account for any smuggling, unofficial or illegal trade also showed that North Korea did not accept any Russian exports that month. In total, North Korea exported less than $45 worth of vulcanized rubber products and $79 of other acrylic polymers to Russia in February a 98% drop in export values year-over-year.

North Korea did not trade a single item with Russia in Jan. 2021, according to new data from Russia’s Federal Customs Service, doling out yet another devastating blow to the DPRK economy after it suffered a slump in imports and exports for much of 2020.
Meanwhile, North Korea’s largest trade partner, China, has not published any 2021 DPRK trade data as of March 16. That’s serious news to some experts and researchers, who use official Russian and Chinese trade data as indicators of the overall North Korean economy’s health.
