Starting February 9, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision will cancel restrictions on the import of tomatoes into Russia from a number of the Kazakh enterprises.
The list includes Eurasian Green Product company (Almaty region), Ecoculture Fields company (Almaty region), Enigma-Invest company (Almaty region), BPBAPK company (Almaty city) and TD Arna company (LST Market, Almaty region).
This decision was made on the basis of information from the Committee of State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the quarantine phytosanitary measures carried out in relation to tomatoes which are produced by these companies. Feb 1 (Interfax) - Russia and Namibia intend to expand mutual trade of fish products, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said in a statement following talks of Vasily Lavrovsky, advisor to the service s head, with Ueritjiua Kauaria, deputy executive director of the Namibian Fisheries and Marine Resources Ministry.
Lavrovsky said that the Namibian market, which is part of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), was of considerable interest to Russian exporters. At present, more than 20 Russian fish processing companies intend to enter it.

Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has informed the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance about the ban on the import of Azerbaijani tomatoes in connection with the detection of tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV).
The State Inspection Committee in the Agroindustrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan sent a letter to the Federal Service, in which it informed about the detection of ToBRFV in Azerbaijani tomatoes.
The detection of the virus in the products was confirmed by the Republican Center of Plant Quarantine of the Committee of the State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
