The body of a fifth missing tuber has been found in a North Carolina river following a deadly accident in which a family on a recreational float went over a dam, local officials said Monday.
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that during recovery efforts for missing tuber Teresa Villano, 35, authorities found her body at around 4 p.m. near the Draper Boat Landing in the Dan River.
The body of a fourth tuber, 7-year-old Isiah Crawford, had been found June 20, following several days of search and recovery efforts, officials said.

Traffic is being rerouted and it is unclear when the road will be open.Authorities say the shots were fired from a red Dodge Dually pickup while the two victims were riding on a motorcycle together and the other victim was on a separate motorcycle.One victim died on the scene and the other victim died at the hospital. Officials say the third victim was able to walk away. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities warn residents to be vigilant on the roads.T

Rockingham County Sheriff’s deputies responded after receiving reports of two gunshot victims lying in the roadway along the U.S. 29 bypass northbound corridor from Barnes Street to N.C. 14 in Reidsville. That was at around 4:45 Monday afternoon. A third victim was found shortly after deputies and first responders arrived.
One victim died on the scene and the other died at the hospital. Officials say the third victim was able to walk away.

EDEN, N.C. (WBTV/AP) - A Duke Energy helicopter crashed near one of its power plants Wednesday afternoon in Rockingham County.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. near a Duke Energy plant, the Dan River Combined Cycle Station, Duke Energy confirmed.
The Rockingham Sheriff’s Office said first responders were called to the scene on Rosewood Road in the town of Eden.
CBS affiliate WFMY says two men were injured in the crash, but they were able to communicate and were conscious.
