ROCKLAND A proposed 236-unit apartment complex in Rockland would cost the developer well over $1 million to hook up to the Rockland and Abington joint water system, if it were to gain approval.
The developers of the project at 0 Pond St., called Shingle Mill, addressed the Rockland-Abington Joint Water Commission on Thursday to see if they could reach an agreement for the project, currently before the Rockland Zoning Board of Appeals, to hook up to the town s water.
Developer Ernesto Caparrotta said he wants to know if they will be able to fully hook up to the town s system, or if just a portion of the project will be hooked up, or if they need to continue efforts to drill their own wells.
