An employee of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Nuzvid IIIT, reportedly died of COVID-19.
The patient, aged around 40 years, was staying at the staff quarters on the university campus, and died at a COVID Hospital in Eluru on Thursday night.
The IIIT management sanitised the quarters and the campus on Friday. Instructions were issued to the staff not to go out of the campus. Students and employees suffering from fever, cold, body pains or any other COVID symptoms were admitted to the campus hospital, said Nuzvid IIIT Director G.V.R. Srinivas Rao.

12 girls on the IIIT campus in Srikakulam test positive for Covid
Srikakulam: Twelve girls tested positive in IIIT, Etcherla in Srikakulam District campus. The infected have been kept under observation in Covid Care Centre at Patrunivalasa in Srikakulam rural Mandal.
IIIT Director P Jagadeeswara Rao announced holidays for the institute and sent non-positive students back to their homes in five special buses. All the hostels of the IIIT, which had been reopened in February, have been disinfected.
All the students have been shifted to a Covid Care Centre on the outskirts of the town. The patients were sent to GEMS Hospital in Ragolu Village in Srikakulam rural area.

Budding engineers of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Nuzvid IIIT, clarified their doubts with IAS probationary officers on how to prepare for civil services examinations.
The students interacted with the IAS trainees during the latter’s visit to the IIIT campus on Monday. They visited the laboratories, solar power plant, classrooms, examination cell and other facilities in the university.
Speaking on the occasion, RGUKT Vice-Chancellor K. Hemachandra Reddy said the questions posed by the students show their zeal towards the civil services examinations and said the university is providing all facilities to the students on the campus to achieve their goals.

Science fairs are the platforms for igniting the young minds, said the officials who participated in the one-day science fair organised on Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) Nuzvid IIIT campus on Sunday.
Hundreds of students exhibited models desigined by them on different concepts in the programme titled ‘Scientia-2021’ organised by Student Development and Campus Activity Cell (SDCAC), IIIT, Nuzvid, marking the National Science Day.
