RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Richmond-Henrico Health Districts (RHHD) says COVID-19 vaccines will need to be rationed in coming weeks as supply is extremely low.
Monday, health leaders held what they hope to be a weekly conversation to keep everyone on the same page.
RHHD expect a total of 6,400 COVID-19 vaccine doses each week for the next six to eight weeks. That’s about one-fourth of the amount requested and one-fourth of actual vaccination capacity.
On Monday, the next phase of the vaccination rollout began, putting front line essential workers, teachers, people 65 and older, those living in correctional facilities, homeless shelters, and migrant labor camps next in line to receive the COVID 19 vaccine.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Richmond Raceway will play host the week of Jan. 18 to several vaccination events for some county employees across central Virginia, but that does
not include private school employees.
The announcement made Jan. 15 by Henrico County left many private school teachers across the area confused.
“I surely hope they’re not putting private school teachers, or people who have been in-person at a lower priority,” said Joan Yates, a teacher at All Saints Catholic School in Richmond.
