Photo / Supplied MediaWorks has recruited another top Air New Zealand executive. The media company, which owns radio and outdoor assets, has appointed Jeff McDowall as its chief operating officer. The former Air New Zealand chief financial officer will be responsible for MediaWorks outdoor operations as well as finance, property, procurement and strategy functions. McDowall spent more than two decades at Air New Zealand. It was announced in October last year he would leave the airline in mid-2021.

MediaWorks has announced it has appointed Jeff McDowall as chief operating officer. McDowall will bring his extensive commercial and financial experience of more than 30 years to the newly created role. As COO he will be responsible for MediaWorks’ outdoor operations, as well as its finance, property, procurement and strategy functions. McDowall will join MediaWorks after a significant career at Air New Zealand spanning more than two decades, most recently as chief financial officer. It was announced in October last year he would depart the airline mid-2021. Some of his other previous senior leadership roles at the airline include acting CEO, group general manager - corporate finance and group general manager - commercial.

The company says it will now educate staff on cultural understanding and broadcasting standards.
