Lafayette High student awarded first prize in distracted driving PSA art contest

LAFAYETTE, La. â A Lafayette High School student was awarded on Friday after being selected as the first prize winner of the Acadiana Regional Safety Coalition s Distracted Driving PSA contest.
An awards event was held December 18 at the Rosa Parks Transportation Center in Lafayette.
The contest asked students at high schools across Acadiana to illustrate scenes of distracted driving to be used in the coalition s social media and online campaign to prevent distracted driving and encourage teens not to text and drive.
Teague Bellard, was presented with the first place award by Rep. Mike Huval.
