A multi-million pound overhaul has been completed at Bolton train station. More than £2 million has been spent on a major renovation at Bolton station over more than a year, improving the facility for customers, staff and the wider community. New signage and seating have been fitted at the station, with toilets and waiting rooms refurbished and pigeon netting fitted to aid cleanliness. The large rooms on platforms four and five, which date back to the early 1900s, have been restored to their former glory and is set to be used for community and educational projects as well as retail facilities.
