The Dangote Oil Refining Company and Dangote Fertiliser Limited have taken Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to another level through various social investments within the host communities around Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.
Interestingly, as a project, the two companies were able to undertake activities that significantly support the improvement and enhancement of the living standards of the people in their host communities.
The complex has installed 14 boreholes in its host communities between 2017 and 2018 and also conducted regular laboratory tests to ensure the water from the boreholes are potable.
The Lagos State government especially the Ministry of Education is applying adequate measures to improve the standard of primary and secondary education in the state and also ensure that the standard is up to the 21st century global standards as practiced worldwide.
The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has received the green light from the Lagos State Government to recruit skilled persons to fill up various vacant positions in the educational sector throughout the state.

Second wave: Lagos schools not reopening Monday -Ministry

The Lagos State Government says a new date for public and private primary and secondary schools to resume in the state would be announced soon.
Head, Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr Kayode Abayomi, made this known on Sunday.
He explained that schools in the state are not reopening on Monday, January 4, 2021, as earlier announced.
According to him, the second wave of COVID-19 would be a major determinant for the reopening of schools in the state.
He said, “Please, recall that the Ministry of Education earlier announced 4th of January as resumption date for the second term 2020/2021 academic session, but this has since been overtaken by the turn of events due to the recent waves of Covid-19 pandemic.

My name is Rita Olawunmi Boyo, née Adebayo. I was born in 1971, visually impaired, by Mrs Adebayo and the late Mr Adebayo. I work as an Assistant Director of Education at the Lagos State Ministry of Education and I am a teacher at a public school. I have two kids – a girl and a boy.
