Ajeromi LG Chair sensitizes MSMEs on loans, grants

Chairman of Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA, Hon Fatai Adekunle Ayoola recently carried out a sensitization programme for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs on the federal government grants, Survivalfund, and other available funds support from Lagos State to Ajeromi Ifelodun.
Ayoola encouraged youths and women to be focused with purpose and make use of federal, state, and local government grants for small enterprises to grow their businesses.
He promised to continue his ease of business and environmentally friendly initiative by providing good road, security, and continue his monthly 100 thousand naira grant which has impacted over 100 women and youth within the community.
The Group Head, W Initiative, Access Bank, Mrs. Ayona Aguele-Trimnell, in this interview speaks about the bank’s commitment towards supporting female-owned businesses by further offering discounted loans at 10 per cent in partnership with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund. Can you speak about the Access Bank and LSETF partnership?
I feel very excited about this partnership as it has been ongoing for a few months and it took a little time to put it together so that it would be beneficial, not just to the bank, but to Lagos state as well as our beneficiaries. The W initiative is home to over 10 million female customers in Nigeria and probably the largest portfolio for female customers as well as female entrepreneurs. Since 2016 when we launched the W initiative, it was basically for it to be a non-stop shop for women entrepreneurs and so what we have tried to do over the last six years is to ensure that we actually serve three different categori

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday met behind closed doors with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
At the end of the meeting, the governor told State House correspondents how his government is managing the second wave of COVID-19 in the state and how it is trying to rebuild the infrastructure destroyed during the #EndSARS protests.
On COVID-19, the governor regretted that the state remains the epicentre of the virus while noting that the second wave appears more infectious than the first.
Sanwo-Olu disclosed that more patients in the state are in need of oxygen, hence the decision of his government to build 10 oxygen tents.
