GONZALES, La. - Ascension Parish residents who are concerned about rising water in their pastures and stables can bring their horses and cows to the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center for stabling at no charge.
Arrangements and reservations should be made ahead of time by calling 225-450-1009.
Lamar –Dixon is located at 9039 S. St. Landry Ave. in Gonzales.
This offer is extended to Ascension Parish residents only.
Others should call Lamar-Dixon to discuss arrangements.

The Ascension Parish government said residents can bring their horses and cows to the venue and keep them there at no charge. Arrangements should be made ahead of time by calling (225)450-1009.
The expo center is located at 9039 S. St. Landry Ave.
The offer is only extended to Ascension residents.

ASCENSION PARISH - Throughout a school year impacted by a record-breaking hurricane season and a deadly viral pandemic, many high school students in Ascension Parish worked hard to adapt to a series of ever-shifting educational circumstances.
Their efforts paid off and as summer begins, the graduating Class of 2021 is all set to celebrate their educational accomplishments with peers and teachers.
Among those celebrants are seniors at Dutchtown High, who have been invited to participate in an in-person graduation ceremony at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales on Wednesday evening.
To quote Luke Combs, when it rains, it pours. And it sure seems to be pouring concerts everywhere we turn.
The latest show coming to south Louisiana is Parker McCollum at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales on Friday, June 18. Flatland Calvary and Jaden Hamilton will be opening the show.
Tickets for this concert will go on sale later this week. There s an artist pre-sale that starts on Wednesday, May 12 at 10:00 am. There is another pre-sale on Thursday, May 13 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm with the password hollywoodgold.

BATON ROUGE - The Lamar Dixon Expo Center is a place used for donation drives during hurricanes, testing sites and vaccine distribution. Now they’re able to put on the show they know best. It has been an absolute breath of fresh air, said General Manager, Kyle Rogers.
The governor s new order allows venues to host outdoor events with no limits and indoor ones with 75 percent capacity.
