Dear CSU Community, As we wrap up the Fall 2020 semester, look forward to a much-needed break, and begin our preparations for the spring, we all recognize the ongoing pandemic and the related uncertainty and challenges. We want to alleviate some of that uncertainty by sharing with all of you our plans for Spring 2021. Nearly 40% Of Larimer County COVID-19 Deaths Recorded In Nov, Dec

As of Wednesday (Dec. 16), there have been 98 recorded deaths in Larimer County since March. According to Larimer County Public Health director Tom Gonzales, 39% of the 98 deaths were recorded in November and December. Gonzales said in a county commissioners meeting on Tuesday (Dec. 15) that hospitals in the county are seeing a significant increase in the number of patients who need to be in intensive care. “That is concerning,” Gonzales added. On a brighter note, Gonzales noted that the county seems to have hit a plateau in COVID-19 cases. “We are starting to see it slowly decline,” Gonzales said. He added the county has also not seen another wave after Thanksgiving, something health officials were initially very concerned about.
