Laos has been carrying out tests on a daily basis to detect the coronavirus infections, it said. Among the people tested, 49 have been confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus. A total of 47 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, showed the official data. On Thursday, a total of 2,709 people entered Laos through international border checkpoints. Of them, 1,997 were from Thailand, 74 from China, and 638 from Vietnam.
