Lyons Falls man accused of urinating in Dollar General, charged with public lewdness

LYONS FALLS — A village man was accused of urinating in a local Dollar General store by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday. According to sheriff’s deputies, Timothy A. Gorczyca, 62, walked into the Dollar General in Lyons Falls at about 3:53 p.m. Friday and urinated while walking around the back of the store. He then also urinated into a garbage can on sale with other merchandise inside. Deputies also say Mr. Gorczyca ate a Reese’s peanut butter cup while in the store without paying. Lewis County sheriff’s deputies charged Mr. Gorczyca with petit larceny and public lewdness.

LOWVILLE — A Lyons Falls man accused of resisting arrest was charged with three misdemeanors by state police. Philip R. Reiter, 35, was charged with resisting arrest, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first offense operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Officers stopped Mr. Reiter in the town of West Turin at about 6:15 p.m. on March 27, according to the police’s online activity log. No further details were provided. Roberta L. Bush, 47, of Castorland, and Cassandra L. Premo, 32, of Carthage, were both charged by state police Saturday with misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Ms. Bush was additionally charged with an additional misdemeanor, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

LOWVILLE — A routine traffic stop led to misdemeanor DWI charges for a Lyons Falls man on Monday afternoon. Timothy A. Gorczyca, 61, of Center Street, was charged by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office with driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Mr. Gorczyca was pulled over by sheriff’s deputies on Cherry Street when they smelled alcohol and saw an open Keystone Ice beer in the center console, according to the sheriff’s office. After failing field sobriety tests, Mr. Gorczyca’s blood alcohol content, or BAC, was found to be 0.12% when he was tested at the county Public Safety Building.
