Bell ringing celebrated the inauguration of President Joe Biden Wednesday in downtown Lincoln. Logan County Democrats provided bells, both red and blue, along with patriotic music to share a sense of unity.
Marcia Cook, of Lincoln, said she was proud to be a Democrat and wanted to show her support. I feel like the community is coming together on being united on what we have and what we share. It is important to me, said Cook.
Jeannette Harris, of Lincoln, also wanted to show her support by ringing a bell. I m ready for a breath of fresh air. For us to come together, I m tired of division and separation and I remain hopeful. This is my city, I live here and I have children here and if anything that I could do to be a positive change, said Harris.
