Putting food on the table has become an uphill task for many Kenyans. But being the entrepreneurial lot that they are, Kenyans perhaps inspired by the adage “man must not only live, but live abundantly”, stop at nothing to make ends meet. Unemployment has pushed many into creative maneuvers and unorthodox out-of-the-box tactics to earn an extra coin.
Forget the crooks who engage in illegal enterprises such as pick pocketing,
ngeta (choke-hold) artists who rob people along dark alleys at knife or gun point and con artists. There are some strange jobs Kenyans do to feed their families that would shock you.

Regional supremacy and 2022 political ambitions could turn the exercise of picking a 10-member team to spearhead referendum campaigns into a nightmare for President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The perception that individuals who have been entrusted with the mandate could use it as a launch pad for the next election has created animosity that could lead to fallout among governors, MPs and other politicians.
Already, some of the 16 regional coordinators picked by the two leaders to spearhead collection of signatures in the push to amend the Constitution have started lobbying to be retained after delivering over five million signatures.

Orange Democratic Movement’s top management organ will today meet to deliberate the party’s 2022 flag bearer and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Last month, ODM invited persons interested to fly the party’s flag in next year’s General Election a resolution by the Central Management Committee, which sets agenda for the National Executive Council (NEC).
The meeting comes just after three county assemblies in the party’s Luo Nyanza stronghold passed the BBI’s Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2020 ahead of the planned referendum in June.

Migori Governor Okoth Obado was treated to a moment of shame when ODM leader Raila Odinga barred him from sitting at the podium with panellists in the ongoing ODM meeting at Ciala Resort.
Obado was forced to sit with other participants in the crowd after his entry.

Raila quickly told him to sit with the rest of the leaders and delegates, barring him from sitting at the podium with leaders governors Anyang Nyong o (Kisumu), Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Senator James Orengo and Homa Bay woman rep Gladys Wanga.

Mr President, there’s a reason you’re the Commander in Thief. Stop bitching and fix it. You have the laws in place, you have an entire criminal justice system at your disposal and you have the means to punish the thieves – start with your own family if you really want to impress us – and recover the stolen money and assets. Get on with your job.
