Those who complete the training will have the opportunity to apply for a position as a swim instructor at the Lompoc Aquatic Center.
Training prerequisites:
Candidates must be at least 16 years old, and be able to demonstrate proficiently the following strokes: front crawl (freestyle), back crawl (backstroke), and breaststroke. Candidates must be able to demonstrate floating on the back and treading water for one minute.
Training Dates and times are:
Sunday, Aug. 8 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.;
Monday, Aug. 9 5-8 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 10 3:15-6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 11 3:15-6:30 p.m.
