KPRC 2 Senior Scholarship: Meet Dusty Cutler, whose ultimate goal is to one day become a judge

KPRC 2 and Texas Mattress Makers are surprising 20 deserving high school seniors with scholarships. All students selected for scholarships have been nominated by their high schools.
This academic year was particularly challenging because of the pandemic, but these students still rose above and beyond in school.
The 18th $2,500 Senior Scholarship was awarded to Dusty Cutler from Spring Woods High School in the Spring Branch Independent School District. He has been attending classes in person and has been able to maintain a 5.8 GPA. Cutler is ranked 46 out of 486 in his class.

OXFORD, Miss. – Besides financial support, the Lyttleton T. Harris IV Endowed Scholarship at the University of Mississippi is providing mentoring from a marketing master for its recipient.
In February, Lyt Harris, of Houston, Texas, added $100,000 to the scholarship endowment he established in 2016. In addition to this and previous gifts to his endowment, Harris made an estimated $2.5 million planned gift in 2019 to support the scholarship after his lifetime.

ROCKLAND The Strand Theatre announces the election of Ellen Seidman as Chair of The Friends of the Strand Theatre Board. Friends of the Strand Theatre (FOST) is the nonprofit organization that owns and operates the 98 year old theater.
Seidman, a resident of both Spruce Head and Portland, is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Urban Institute. Prior to moving to Maine full time, she had a long career in the federal government and with several community development organizations. She has been on the FOST Board since 2016, serving as Vice Chair the past two years. Seidman also serves on the boards of Maine Initiatives and the Financial Health Network.
