NACTOY to Announce Winners During January 11 Virtual Event

DETROIT, Jan. 6, 2021 /PRNewswire/ The North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) Award™ winners will be announced at 11 a.m. EST Monday, January 11 during a virtual event with representatives from winning automakers.
NACTOY officers have made the decision to hold the event virtually rather than at Detroit s TCF Center in light of ongoing COVID-19 concerns. There will be a media Q&A period with representatives from the winning automakers. The event will be held in partnership with the North American International Auto Show.

(WXYZ) â Winners will be announced this morning for the North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY).
The finalists are:
Truck of the Year: Ford F-150, Jeep Gladiator Mojave, Ram 1500 TRX
Utility Vehicle of the Year: Ford Mustang Mach E, Genesis GV80, Land Rover Defender In this very challenging year, these nine vehicles emerged as our Finalists out of an unusually strong field of 27 Semifinalists, NACTOY president Gary Witzenburg said in a release. Each one of them â especially the 15 in the ultra-competitive utility vehicle category â is excellent in nearly every way. Not to mention the automakers unusually difficult challenge of getting our 50 jurors from all over North America into their candidate vehicles for testing and evaluation prior to our later-than-usual voting deadline

The trouble broke out inside the main counting room in Detroit late on the morning of Nov. 4.
