Greg Rickford is promising a revamped Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP says they want to open it up to make it more accessible.
“It has a, in some respects, a wider catchment for northern Ontario businesses and communities,” says Rickford.
“Especially non-for-profits, indigenous communities, who’ve largely underrepresented historically through NOHFC.”

And if the stars align properly, there is even the potential for those batteries to be manufactured in the North, according to Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli.
