The second vaccine in the U.S. arsenal to fight the coronavirus arrived in Maine Monday morning, bringing 600 additional doses to the state for frontline health care workers. Sixty vials of the Moderna vaccine, which was approved Friday by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for emergency use authorization, were delivered to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Two men face charges in Robbinston shooting incident
ELLSWORTH On Dec. 19 at 1:48 p.m., Maine State Police from Troop J and detectives from Major Crimes Unit North responded to a shooting that occurred outside of a residence in Robbinston. According to investigators, the shooting occurred during a family fight. During the initial call, Maine State Police were assisted by U.S. Border Patrol, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Calais Police Department and the Maine Warden Service.
As a result of the investigation, Joshua Styles, 34, of Robbinston, was arrested on Dec. 22 for reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon. Jaycee Styles, 25, of Robbinston, was also arrested and charged with domestic violence assault.

The Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center campus here in Bangor has seen an outbreak of the coronavirus that has infected forty-eight people as of Monday afternoon as community transmission around the Bangor region grows larger and larger in potential and verified positive testing. Forty cases are workers of the hospital and eight cases are patients of the hospital.
With increasing confirmations of COVID-19 transmission within the region and directly in the hospital, changes are being put in place to keep staff, patients and the community safer which effects visitation changes to the hospital.

The state moves Cumberland County into the yellow designation for schools, meaning hybrid learning is recommended. And Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor is dealing with a major outbreak.
